Groove Inspirations is Sonica Instruments’ line of exclusive MIDI packs for Virtuoso Japanese Series libraries.
Main Features
The packs are fully compatible with Virtuoso Japanese Series libraries.* The MIDI phrases can be previewed in the Groove Browser and exported directly to your DAW.
They feature a huge assortment of phrases, from well-known traditional tunes to original phrases you can use immediately in modern music.
The ready-to-use MIDI phrases allow you to get a real feel for each instrument’s articulations and inherent expressiveness.
*Version 2.0 or later libraries (Version 2.5 for KOTO 13) are required to use the Groove Browser function.
Designed Specifically for the Virtuoso Japanese Series
Groove Inspirations MIDI packs are created expressly for Virtuoso Japanese Series libraries. The MIDI phrases have been composed using articulations and key switches to show off all the capabilities of each library.
You can preview phrases in the library’s Groove Browser in KONTAKT. And you can edit phrases using the Groove Browser’s built-in controls and drop them directly on to tracks in your DAW.

The tsugaru shamisen is renowned for its dynamic sound and subtle tonal variations. This MIDI pack showcases the full potential of the TSUGARU SHAMISEN library while letting you explore all kinds of musical styles.
Over 500 phrases, from traditional and well-known tsugaru shamisen tunes to phrases composed specifically for this pack
Complete renditions of five classic songs, including Jonkara Bushi and Yosare Bushi
19 original compositions (each with 16 patterns), featuring a mix of straight and shuffle-time pieces

The 13-string koto is capable of simple yet colorful expressions and gorgeous sounds. The phrases in this MIDI pack highlight the intrinsic playing styles and tunings of the koto while being able to blend in beautifully with modern compositions and pop songs.
