This fall Sonica Instruments plans to release TAIKO THUNDER: The Ultimate Collection — our latest KONTAKT library.
TAIKO THUNDER: The Ultimate Collection is the most comprehensive library of Japanese taiko drums ever, with a total of 20 instruments, including 16 types of taiko, three metal percussion instruments, and various kakegoe calls.
Our goal with this title was to create the most thorough collection of taiko samples ever assembled. To this end, we enlisted the finest recording engineers to capture taiko performances by top percussionists in some of the best halls in Japan. And we succeeded in packaging in a single library the incredible power and dynamics of the taiko sound, with attention paid to the finest details to ensure absolute authenticity.
The library contains a wealth of articulations for each instrument, including 19 hit positions in addition to left and right hand hits. And our innovative UI lets you quickly access all these rich, dynamic taiko sounds from a MIDI keyboard, MIDI controller, MIDI pad, or other controller.
